VRC Pen Writer - Your world pen writes your text (desktop mode / flat Tab mode / JP stroke order)

A desktop-mode tool that hand-writes your text in VRChat with a world pen (QvPen and similar).

Type your message and press GO. During the countdown, switch to VRChat and hold the pen. When it hits zero your hand starts moving and writes the whole text, stroke by stroke.

For notes left for friends, for world signs and boards, for a line under a group photo.

WHAT IT DOES

- Writes any text you type with the pen (multiple lines OK)

- Two drawing modes:

- Tab plane (QvPen) - holds Tab for the whole text and draws on a flat plane in front of you, starting from the screen center. No curving, even for large text

- View rotation (sphere) - draws by turning your view. Works with any pen you can draw with by holding the mouse button, but large text curves along a sphere. Your view returns to where it started

- Two glyph styles: Handwriting (single-line font with proportional spacing for Latin letters, real stroke order for Japanese) / Serif (traces the center line of Yu Mincho / MS Mincho)

- Latin letters, numbers, Japanese hiragana / katakana / kanji

- Text size, letter spacing, line spacing, left / center / right alignment, drawing speed

- Start delay slider (3-30 s) with a big always-on-top countdown

- F10 emergency stop at any time (releases the mouse button and Tab)

- One-button calibration for each mode (View rotation draws one character to size, Tab plane draws a square half the screen height)

- UI in English / Japanese (Auto follows your Windows language)

- Settings are saved automatically

HOW IT WORKS / REQUIREMENTS

- It sends mouse (and Tab key) input to move your hand. No mods, no client modification

- Windows 10 / 11, VRChat desktop mode only (VR mode not supported)

- A world with a pen you can draw with by holding the mouse button (e.g. worlds with QvPen). Tab plane mode is for QvPen (its desktop Tab mode)

- No install - just run the exe

HOW TO USE

1. Go to a world with a pen and run VRCPenWriter.exe

2. Type your text, choose the mode and the countdown time, press GO

3. During the countdown, switch to VRChat and pick up the pen

4. It writes automatically. In Tab plane mode VRChat must be the foreground window or it will not start

* Calibrate once per mode the first time (steps in README_EN.txt)

IMPORTANT NOTES

- Stroke order data for Japanese (KanjiVG) is downloaded the first time each character is used. Latin text needs no internet

- Depending on the world and the pen, it may not draw correctly

- Tab plane mode depends on QvPen's desktop mode behavior. With other pens, use View rotation mode

- Serif style needs Yu Mincho or MS Mincho. On non-Japanese Windows you may need to add the optional "Japanese Supplemental Fonts" feature. Handwriting style needs nothing extra

- Some antivirus software may warn about a newly released exe. It only sends mouse input and the Tab key to your own PC

- Use it within VRChat's terms of service, at your own risk

- Not usable on Quest standalone or in VR mode
