You're getting ready to finalize this month's invoices, and there's one

last detail you want to be sure of: whether each customer is being billed

at the agreed unit price. A contract was revised recently, another customer

has special terms, and a familiar-looking price may no longer be the right one.

The Contract vs. Invoice Unit Price Reconciliation workbook gives you a

place to work through those details in Excel. It compares invoice line items

with contract unit prices by customer, item, and applicable contract period,

then shows the differences and the conditions that apply. You can review

contract prices, billed prices, and effective dates together as you prepare

the billing data for your final check.

Suppose an invoice still uses the previous price after a revised agreement

has taken effect. Seeing the difference alongside the applicable period

helps you trace what needs attention. A different price might also reflect

an approved exception, so the workbook includes exception approval details

to help you understand the reason for a mismatch. Checks for items without

a matching contract and calculation checks support the review, too.

With those details in view, you can check the results against the original

agreements and billing records, then make any necessary corrections before

finalizing the invoices. Catching a pricing issue at this stage can mean

fewer invoices to reissue and fewer follow-up conversations with customers.
