NonToon Bridge for Blender - Render lilxyzw's NonToon (PBR + NPR) in Blender as in Unity (.mat import, 14 verified cases, unofficial)

lilxyzw's new shader NonToon, straight into Blender.

NonToon Bridge is a dedicated render engine plus auto-setup tool that reproduces Unity NonToon materials in Blender as they are. Pick the .mat files from your Unity project; textures, parameters and enabled keywords load automatically and NonToon's PBR + NPR look appears in Blender. This is a separate product from lilToon Bridge.

■ WHAT IT IS

- A faithful Blender port of NonToon / Shader-Core (lilxyzw, Zlib License), transpiled from the HLSL source.

- Not an approximation. The same scene is compared per pixel against Unity; all 14 cases measure SSIM >= 0.99 (best 0.9999). The full table is in the README.

■ FEATURES

- One-click .mat import: textures via GUID, feature toggles via shader keywords

- Supported shader features: shading, normal map, rim light, specular, matcap (add / multiply), lighten, outline, cutout, dither, transparent, distance fade, detail map, fur

- Dedicated render engine "NonToon Bridge": viewport preview + F12 render

- Material editing UI in Blender's properties panel

■ REQUIREMENTS

- Blender 4.5 LTS (verified on Windows)

- NonToon 0.1.2 / Shader-Core 0.1.5 materials

- Your VRChat avatar FBX plus the Unity project

■ INSTALL

1. Blender Preferences > Add-ons > install the zip

2. Switch the render engine to "NonToon Bridge"

3. File > Import > NonToon Material (.mat) and pick your Unity .mat

4. Done. F12 renders with the NonToon look

■ NOTES

- Unofficial port of lilxyzw's NonToon / Shader-Core (Zlib License). Please do not contact the original author about this product.

- NonToon is a shader under active development. This product targets NonToon 0.1.2; upstream updates will be followed over time.

- Known differences: fur outline AlphaToMask, direct import of custom shared gradients (Texture2DArray); SDF shadow and hair specular are implemented but not yet measured. Listed honestly in the README.

- Viewport display is a fast preview. Final quality is guaranteed in F12 renders.

- Lighting match covers directional light + ambient (additional lights, lightmaps and shadow maps are out of scope).
