2026年、AIたちと月を作りました。

本書は、VRChatワールド『Moon Phase with Usagi ⁄） ⁄）』の制作過程を記録した、日英併記の開発付記集です。

月の満ち欠け、餅つきうさぎ、光る床、星屑、月齢カレンダー。

一見すると小さな月見ワールドですが、その制作には複数のAIモデルが異なる役割で関わり、実装、修正、モデル間の引き継ぎ、試行錯誤、そして「何も変更しない」という判断まで行われました。

月相シェーダーは、VRChatから得られるUTC時刻をもとに現在の月相を近似して描画します。初期実装で生じた問題を経て、複数モデル間で修正と引き継ぎが行われました。

月面では、5枚のテクスチャを約0.8 FPSで切り替えることで、うさぎが餅をついています。仕組みとしてはほぼパラパラ漫画です。

そのほか、月齢カレンダー、歩行位置に反応する発光床、銀河系パーティクル、サムネイル、BGMなどの制作過程も収録しています。

本書は、AIによってすべてが自動的に完成したことを示す資料ではありません。

うまく動かなかった実装、別モデルへの引き継ぎ、採用されなかった案、未解決の挙動、保存されず後から検証できなくなった生成物、そして検討の結果として何も変更しなかった事例も制作記録として残しています。

完成品だけでは見えなくなる、「どのモデルが何に関わり、何が起き、どう判断されたのか」を記録することが目的です。

ワールド内に設置している「Technical Note / 技術メモ」も別PDFとして同梱しています。

また2026年8月24日、本編に収録されていなかった制作最初期の記録を補完するため、「Genesis Note / 月相シェーダー初期対応記録」を追加しました。DeepSeek v4 Flashによる初期の試行、音声認識に起因した誤解、実装方針、未確認事項を記録しています。

This bilingual collection of Development Notes documents the production of the VRChat world "Moon Phase with Usagi ⁄） ⁄）".

Moon phases, a mochi-pounding rabbit, a glowing floor, stardust, and a moon-age calendar.

Although it is a small moon-viewing world, multiple AI models contributed in different roles through implementation, correction, handoffs, experimentation, and even the decision to make no changes.

The moon-phase shader estimates the current lunar phase using UTC time provided by VRChat. Its development included problems in early implementations followed by corrections and handoffs between models.

On the lunar surface, the rabbit pounds mochi using five textures switched at approximately 0.8 FPS. Technically, it is closer to a small flipbook than a sophisticated animation.

The collection also documents the moon-age calendar, walk-reactive glowing floor, galaxy particles, thumbnail, BGM, and other elements.

This document is not intended to suggest that AI automatically completed everything.

Failed implementations, model handoffs, rejected ideas, unresolved behavior, generated material that was not preserved for later examination, and a consultation that resulted in no changes are retained as part of the development record.

Its purpose is to preserve what disappears behind the finished work: which model contributed to what, what happened, and how decisions were made.

A separate one-page "Technical Note" used inside the world is also included.

On August 24, 2026, the "Genesis Note / Moon-Phase Shader Initial Attempt" was added to supplement the earliest development work omitted from the original collection. It records DeepSeek v4 Flash's initial attempts, voice-recognition-related misunderstandings, implementation approach, and unverified items.
